Data recovery
Recovery of data from Hard Disk Drives following accidental damage, virus attack, system malfunction, mechanical failure.
Recovery from desktop, laptop, USB and server hard disk drives (IDE, SATA, SATAII, SCSI), floppy disks, smart media.
If you are in an area covered by onsite support an engineer can visit to remove the hard disk from your computer to bring it into our workshop.
If you are outside this area and you have the technical skills to remove the hard drive from your equipment, or have a local support person who can do this for you, we are happy to receive drives for data recovery via an appropriate carrier. Hard disk drives are delicate and are likely to be damaged by shock or inappropriate handling. It is essential that they are well packaged prior to being sent on a carrier.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to or permit others to dismantle the drive. It is very easy for dust to enter the drive which is likely to greatly reduce the chances of successful data recovery.
If you suspect that data recovery is likely to be necessary turn the system off and leave it off until you have sought advice. Continued use or attempts to restart a system with a damaged drive reduces the likelihood of a successful data recovery procedure.
